  • Head Lecturer at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Administrative Law (Accredited by the body of Professors since 5.10.2010).
  • PhD in Law (1997) she also completed a Licènce en Droit Européen et International (option: Droit européen) at the Université Catholique de Louvain.
  • She has been on extended research visits, among others, at the College of Europe in Bruges, the University of Harvard, the Centre for Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, the Università di Bologna. She has participated as an expert in the Steering Committee On Local And Regional Democracy of the Council of Europe. She is a member of the Observatory for Environmental Policies and Centre de Dret Ambiental at the Rovira i Virgilli University and the Scientific Boards of the journals Llengua i Dret, Actualidad Jurídica Ambiental and Revista Catalana de Dret Ambiental.
  • The main lines of research fall under Environmental law, Administrative Economic Law, Linguistic Law and Public Autonomic Law. She is the author of numerous publications. Among the monographs published and supervised the most notable are: Estatuto xurídico da lingua galega,(Xerais 2005) Ecoauditorías, intervención pública ambiental y autocontrol empresarial (Marcial Pons, 2000); Régimen jurídico de la selección del profesorado universitario (Atelier, 2004); Evaluación de impacto ambiental. Evolución normativo-jurisprudencial, cuestiones procedimentales y aplicación sectorial (Atelier, 2009); Titularidad, competencias y fiscalidad de las aguas minerales y termales. Marco comunitario de protección ambiental (Thomson-Aranzadi, 2009). Shaping language rights: Commentary on the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in light of the Committee of Experts’ evaluation” (Council of Europe 2011), La Termita Bolkestein (Civitas, 2012), An alternative economic governance for the European Union, Centre Mauritzs Coppieters, Brussels, 2013. Chapters of books and articles in leading Spanish and foreign magazines complete the knowledge dissemination activity.
  • As the main researcher or as a member of the Research Group she has participated in more than 20 competitive research projects for European, national and regional calls. She has performed an extensive knowledge transfer activity, mainly to Public Administrations, related to the research specialisation areas (environment, university law, inter-administrative relations, major risks…)
